Payment and Policies

S.F.S.C./ SkateSaskatoon Member

Members are those skaters (CanSkate, StarSkate, Competitive, and Synchronized) who skate out of the A.C.T. and are registered with Skate Canada as members of the Saskatoon Figure Skating Club/SkateSaskatoon.

Member in Good Standing

To be a member in good standing, all club members must pay, within the time limits shown in By-Law 4, such club fees as are stipulated by the Executive.

By-Law 4: Members in arrears will not be permitted to take part in club activities. If any arrears are not paid  within 30 days of the date set for payment, such members shall be considered as having terminated their  membership.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be considered unless due to injury or illness of at least 7 consecutive days.

Request must be submitted in writing within 14 days of said injury and must be accompanied by a medical certificate. In order for applications to be processed fairly, on a first come first serve basis, all applications must be received by the Skate Saskatoon/Saskatoon Figure Skating Club, 107 – 105th Street East Saskatoon, Sk S7N 1Z2, no later than September 15th, 2007. Any refund will be subject to a $35.00 administration fee and will be pro-rated as to remaining weeks.

N.S.F. Fee

There is a $25 service fee charged for N.S.F. Cheques.

Late Registrations

Registrations received After SEPT. 15th, will be charged a $25.00 Administration Fee.

SkateCanada Membership

All participants in the Saskatoon Figure Skating Club programs are deemed members of Skate Canada.

SkateCanada memberships include the following:

  • Skaters are under the instruction and supervision of certified coaches.
  • Skaters are taught according to the Skate Canada  programs, which are exclusive to its members.
  • Skaters are eligible for testing under the Skate Canada program and all test results are recorded at Skate Canada.
  • Skaters can compete in sanctioned competitions.
  • Skaters have a certain degree of insurance coverage while skating.
  • Skaters are provided with a Skate Canada membership card. The membership number allows skaters to access the “members only” link on the SkateCanada website. This link provides personal test information as well as program information. It is a valuable resource.
