Club Program Coach
Organization:
Skate Saskatoon is a long-standing, acclaimed Skate Canada club, with approximately 1000 skaters and year-round ice. The large ice surface is sand based with no hockey boards. There is a large hall where off ice programs are conducted. The location is ACT Skating Centre, 107 – 105 Street East, Saskatoon, Sk.
Available to begin immediately (start date is negotiable)
Job Description:
· Skate Saskatoon is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Skate Canada accredited coach to coach group programs.
· The successful candidate will be able to provide freelance coaching opportunities at the club.
· Applicants will be considered for coaching CanSkate, Intermediate, Senior and Elite on and off ice programs.
· Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, be reliable, committed and work well as part of a coaching team.
· The successful candidate will report and work directly with the Director of Skating, Gennady Kaskov.
· The compensation will be commensurate with both coaching experience, certification and other relevant skills.
Qualifications:
· Valid First Aid certificate
· NCCP certificate & member in good standing with Skate Canada
o Provincial or National certification is preferred, lower certifications may be considered for a candidate with a goal and plan to become Nationally certified in future.
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
